The September issue of Gourmet Traveller, the country’s preeminent food and travel brand, launches today with a new look and feel that’s premium, modern and all about driving inspiration.
Overseen by Sarah Oakes who was appointed editor in May, the new Gourmet Traveller features the latest food trends, an increased prominence for travel, and a number of new sections. To coincide with the new magazine, a fortnightly podcast has also been launched.
In addition, ‘Set Menu’ a 20-minute multi-segment podcast goes live today, further increasing its presence across platforms. As one of Bauer Media’s most successful cross media brands, Gourmet Traveller now encompasses digital and social, restaurant and hotel guides, cookbooks, Chinese editions, pop-ups, , bespoke touring events and merchandise.
The podcast, which is available to download from iTunes features Gourmet Traveller’s managing editor and food critic Pat Nourse being grilled by award winning chef Mark Best on the eve of the 2018 Restaurant Awards.
To celebrate the launch of the new magazine, Gourmet Traveller has partnered with Melbourne’s Lune croissants for a special pop-up activation. Described by the New York Times as “possibly the best croissants in the world”, Lune croissants will be available for the first time, free of charge, to Sydney readers who take a copy of the September issue to Paramount Coffee Project in Surry Hills today. The launch is also being supported with a commercial running on SBS.

Plus there are interviews with Steve Coogan and Annabel Crabb.
